The drama between Philadelphia 76ers
star Jaylen Brown and the exit from the Boston Celtics after 10 years took another turn on Monday when Celtics broadcaster, and former Celtics forward, Brian Scalabrine stated that Brown had demanded a trade from Boston. Scalabrine had stated that Brown was "rooting to be traded to Milwaukee" amid the initial rumors around former Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. After that report came from Scalabrine, Brown's reps stated, through ESPN, that the report was completely false.
Per ESPN:
A representative from Philadelphia 76ers forward Jaylen Brown's team told ESPN that a report indicating Brown demanded a trade or presented his former team, the Boston Celtics, with a list of demands is "10000% a lie."
Scalabrine
then hopped on TV and back walked on the earlier Brown demanding a trade from the Celtics report. He stated:
To be fair, after the 48 calls I attended today, he technically didn't demand to be traded...I don't know what the ultimatum was or the demands or whatever it was. So, technically, he did not demand to be traded. It was, 'Do these things right here or else.' And one of them might have been, 'Give me the $140 million extension. I haven't gotten to the bottom of all that. I didn't even know this was going to be a thing. It's one of those things that lived in my mind for months. I finally used it because we were talking about the weirdest stuff, and now it's out there."

Of course, all of this comes after Bleacher Report posted a clip of Celtics star Jayson Tatum's posted video recounting Brown's trade to the Sixers. Brown responded to the B/R post with a blue hat emoji meaning "cap"--internet slang for that's a lie.
Brown then opened up and responded to Tatum as he said: "He got a great PR team. There's no beef, but it might be a little lamb chops and some gravy. You know what I mean? He should stay ready at all times."
The Sixers will host the Celtics on Nov. 10.
