With the NBA punishing the Los Angeles Clippers in light of the Kawhi Leonard cap circumvention case, one has to wonder about the pick the Clippers owe the Philadelphia 76ers from the 2023 James Harden deal. The NBA stripped the Clippers of five first-round picks in 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032, and 2033. So, that leaves the question of the pick owed to the Sixers in 2029.
The NBA stated that they will strip the Clippers of the 2029 pick they got from the Indiana Pacers in the Ivica Zubac trade, but not the one owed to the Sixers. That pick will remain intact as they head into the future.

When trying to predict the future by the 2029 draft, that pick might come in handy when considering the Sixers will likely not have LeBron James at that point, Joel Embiid will be 35 by then, and Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown will both be up for new deals. That pick could prove to be invaluable to Philadelphia.
