With the 2026-27 NBA season quickly approaching, everybody is getting ready for what's to come. Players are getting their final workouts done, fans are getting ready to watch their favorite players again, and then there are those getting ready for fantasy basketball.
Much like fantasy football, fans select players, the players then produce on the floor, and the team with the most productive roster wins. It's another way for fans to stay engaged throughout the course of a long 82-game season.
NBA.com produced its top 150 fantasy players headed into the new season and Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey comes in ranked No. 10 on the list:
3s at volume, a strong free-throw percentage and a sneaky-useful steal rate. The concern is that Jaylen Brown
and LeBron James arriving trims the usage, and possibly minutes. Efficiency should improve with the easier looks, which partly offsets it.
Maxey is coming off a season in which he averaged a robust 28.3 points along with 6.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds as he led the Sixers to a 45-37 record and to Round 2 of the playoffs. If the 2-time All-Star can improve his efficiency, then he will be an elite fantasy basketball player throughout the season.
