The Philadelphia 76ers are going to need rookie Labaron Philon Jr. to step in and produce right away as the No. 22 pick in the 2026 draft. The Sixers selected Philon with the expectation that he will be the lead guard for the second unit alongside Anfernee Simons.
In order to prepare for what's to come in his maiden season, Philon has spent a majority of the offseason in the gym looking to work on his craft and get the much-needed reps he needs in the gym to show what he can do on a regular basis.
In the latest video footage of the Rico Hines Runs at UCLA, Philon continues to impress and show his skill alongside fellow Sixers teammate VJ Edgecombe.
The Sixers will look to unlock the scoring ability Philon showed while at Alabama when he averaged
22.0 points and shot 39.9% from deep on 6.2 attempts per night. That scoring productivity will come in handy for a bench unit that struggled at times in the 2025-26 season.
