The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Detroit Pistons on the second night of a back-to-back on Sunday night. The Sixers are off to a 3-0 start and will look to take down a fellow unbeaten as the Pistons enter this contest at 2-0 on their end.
Detroit will be short-handed as All-Star big man Jalen Duren will miss this matchup due to a right hamstring strain while Ausar Thompson has been hobbled by an ankle injury as well as he listed as questionable for this matchup. This is an opportunity for the Sixers to pick up another win and keep moving forward as a group.
As for Philadelphia's injury report, LeBron James is not listed after missing Saturday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks. As for Joel Embiid, he is predictably listed as out for this one
due to right plantar fasciitis management. The Sixers are clearly still being careful with the big fella, as they were with James on Saturday, as they want to deliver a healthy Embiid and James to the postseason.
Dominick Barlow (low back stress reaction) and Tacko Fall (left quadriceps strain) remain out along with, of course, Ariel Hukporti (right Achilles tear). Jabari Walker is also out due to left knee soreness.
