The relationship between Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James and franchise icon Allen Iverson is definitely a big brother-little brother one. The two stars played against each other--which is wild to think about when considering Iverson retired 16 years ago--and James is set to enter year 24 and his first with the Sixers.
Iverson has always had respect for the brilliant career James has put together. From one legend to another, the two acknowledged that they are two of the best to ever do it.
As James brings his incredible talents to Philadelphia, the new Sixers star continues to receive love from Iverson. The Hall of Fame guard posted a picture on Instagram of himself wearing James' new No. 23 Sixers jersey.
James averaged 20.9 points in the
2025-26 season with the Los Angeles Lakers--his eighth and final one in LA--and will now bring that scoring ability to Philadelphia. He is still incredible in a number of ways and his presence will make life easier for everybody around him.
