With the 2026-27 NBA season quickly approaching, everybody is getting ready for what's to come. Players are getting their final workouts done, fans are getting ready to watch their favorite players again, and then there are those getting ready for fantasy basketball.
Much like fantasy football, fans select players, the players then produce on the floor, and the team with the most productive roster wins. It's another way for fans to stay engaged throughout the course of a long 82-game season.
NBA.com produced its top 150 fantasy players headed into the new season and Philadelphia 76ers star Jaylen Brown comes in ranked No. 44 on the list:
He should be Philadelphia’s second scoring option given Joel Embiid’s absences and LeBron’s likely load management.
He’s typically been better in points leagues, however.
To NBA.com's point, Brown will have his role fluctuate on a nightly basis between load management for Embiid and LeBron James, and it will depend on what the Sixers need from him every night. Brown averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists as he took over in a number of ways for the Boston Celtics in 2025-26. As he now heads to the Sixers, it will be interesting to see how well he continues to produce in this new chapter of what has been a stellar career thus far.
