Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey is always itching to get back on the floor and do what he loves to do. The 2-time All-Star has a maniacal work ethic and has been looking to improve and get better year after year as he moves into his seventh season in the league.
The 2026-27 season promises to be an interesting one for Maxey and the Sixers after the team added Jaylen Brown in a blockbuster trade and then signed LeBron James in free agency. As Philadelphia moves forward, it will need Maxey to continue being the leader he has always been and will look for more from him when considering all of the new additions to the roster.
One of those additions is Anfernee Simons, who joins the Sixers after spending the 2025-26 season split between the Boston
Celtics and the Chicago Bulls. Maxey posted a photo on his Instagram story of himself and Simons getting after it in the gym together.

Simons is an 8-year veteran with career averages of 14.9 points. His scoring is going to be such an important piece to this team's bench unit as it can struggle at times to produce points. One has to believe there will be times he will play with Maxey in the same backcourt as well.
