Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey is expected to once again be the leader of this group in the upcoming season. Sure, the Sixers added LeBron James and Jaylen Brown along with a slew of other newcomers, but this is still Maxey's team. The group will follow his lead in order to be successful.
Maxey, a 2-time All-Star, is coming off a season in which he averaged 28.3 points and made sure the ship was steady heading into the new season in an effort to get the Sixers on track on a nightly basis. He will look to do that once again, even with the presence of two proven champions beside him on the floor.
In preparation for the 2026-27 season, Maxey is back in the gym with trainer Chris Johnson in an effort to get ready for what's to come. He worked
on taking contact on drives and jumpers as he takes another step forward in his game.
Training camp is set to begin on Tuesday which will offer Maxey the opportunity to get in the gym with his teammates and begin building chemistry on the floor and keep things moving forward as a group.
