Robert Covington is a true champion of "The Process" era with the Philadelphia 76ers. An undrafted forward out of Tennessee State University and looking to earn his spot in the league after a season with the Houston Rockets, Covington then spent 4-plus seasons with the Sixers and earned that spot with hard work and a much-needed skillset.
Covington developed into one of the best 3-and-D players in the league. He was named to the All-Defensive First Team in 2017-18 and became a key piece for the Sixers in their turnaround. He carved out 11 years in the league with the Sixers, Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Clippers.

Basketball Officer of Tennessee State's men's basketball program.
Covington has a great head on his shoulders and can bring a lot to the table for Tennessee State. This is a great opportunity for himself to move forward in his post-playing career and help the program move forward.
