The Philadelphia 76ers will look to get over the hump in the Eastern Conference as they gear up for another shot at the Larry O'Brien trophy. The Sixers were able to land the likes of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James to add to the roster and they were then able to add a star in coaching circles to Nick Nurse's staff.
The Sixers have added Phil Handy to Nurse's staff in an effort to make sure they are prepared for every challenge thrown at them. Handy has multiple connections to Philadelphia as he was on Nurse's staff when the Toronto Raptors won the title in 2019 and was an assistant with James and the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2013-2018 and with the Los Angeles Lakers from 2019-2024.
After spending a season as an assistant with the Dallas Mavericks,
Handy now heads to the Sixers and he reacted to the move on Twitter.

Handy, Nurse, and the rest of the Sixers will be looking to get over the hump and win the franchise's first title since the Julius Erving days in 1983. With the talent on the roster, the Sixers will certainly be in the mix.
