The Philadelphia 76ers will return home on Friday to play host to the defending champion New York Knicks to open NBA Cup play. The Sixers are coming off a road win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday and will now look to move forward in an effort to grow as a team.
When considering this matchup with the Knicks is also the first night of a back-to-back, the Sixers will have to do some managing with their superstars out on the floor. Joel Embiid, who played 38 minutes on Wednesday in Indiana, is not listed on the injury report and neither is LeBron James. One has to believe that if this stays the same, then both players will be out on Saturday when the Sixers face the Charlotte Hornets.
Jaylen Brown (left knee soreness) is listed as questionable.
Tacko Fall (left quadriceps strain) is listed as out.
Dominick Barlow (low back stress reaction), Jabari Walker (left knee soreness), and Ariel Hukporti (right Achilles tear) are all sidelined.
