The Philadelphia 76ers and the Philadelphia Flyers are getting a new arena that's set to open in 2030. In the process, Philadelphia will also be getting a WNBA team that will also play there when the new spot opens up and it keeps the Sixers in the city's sports complex after talks that the team was going to move to downtown Philadelphia.

On Tuesday, the Sixers and the Flyers released renderings of the new arena and it looks as modern as one would expect. The new arena will be on Broad and Pattison on the historic site of where the old Spectrum used to be. The rendering includes a 360 degree fan experience with retail shops and restaurants as the city of Philadelphia prepares for what's new in sports fandom.

It's obvious that the Sixers and Flyers needed a new place to call home. While the Xfinity Mobile Arena is a great building filled with passionate fans, it has been open since 1996 and it's time for something new. This is the beginning of a new era in Philadelphia sports fandom.
