The Oregon Duckshave hit a new low in the 2026 season.
After losing their second game of the season before the midway point of October, this time an ugly 17-15 defeat to the UCLA Bruins, Oregon has plummeted in the US LBM Coaches Poll. They now sit at No. 25, down 12 spots from No. 13 ahead of this past week.
This is the Ducks' lowest point in the poll so far this season, previously recorded at No. 18 after their Week 2 loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys. This is also the lowest they've ranked since Week 2 of the 2022 season, when Oregon fell to No. 24 in the nation after a 49-3 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in Dan Lanning's opening game.
There are a lot of questions to answer going forward, at nearly every position on the roster. What happens at quarterback
going forward? How do the offensive line woes get fixed? Will there be a change in terms of offensive coordinator or play-caller? Is this what we can expect from the defense going forward?
On the bright side, I suppose Oregon has a lot of time to answer those questions with seven games left on the schedule. However, we are in early October, and the Ducks' chances of making the College Football Playoffs are as small as they've ever been during the Lanning era.
