There weren't many positives to come out of the Oregon Ducks' 17-15 loss to the UCLA Bruins, dropping Oregon's College Football Playoff chances as they fell to 3-2.
The Ducks were particularly poor on the offensive side of the ball, failing to move it much at all until the fourth quarter. As a result, Oregon punter Bailey Ettridge booted the ball away six times, a high during his young Ducks career.
On those six punts, Ettridge totaled 289 yards, coming out to an average of 48.2 yards per boot. Showing off his versatility, the Lara, VIC, native had a long of 67 yards while also downing two punts inside the 20-yard line, pinning the Bruins back. A game in which field position was crucial for a pair of struggling offenses, Ettridge had the best
day of his career and earned the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week for his efforts.

If not for Oregon's six turnovers that occurred prior to the final play of the game, Ettridge would've had even more opportunities to flip the field and contribute. But he only got to show off his impressive leg six times, executing his punts all six times.
The Ducks added the 28-year-old punter in the transfer portal after he spent his freshman season at Nevada. That seems like a coup, as Oregon should be set at the punter position for the seasons to come.
