As we enter the back half of the college football season, the weekly availability report is going to be more and more important for every fan base to pay attention to. With a long and taxing season now becoming the norm in the sport, availability is truly becoming the best ability.
So far this year, the Oregon Duckshave had some trouble on that front, with big-name players like Dante Moore, Jeremiah McClellan, Evan Stewart, Jamari Johnson, and Aaron Flowers all missing time, among others.
Going into the Week 8 game against the Illinois Fighting Illini, there is some intrigue as to which of those players might be able to return, and who is still expected to miss time going forward.
While we may not get the final answer on Wednesday night, the first
Big Ten Availability report gives us a good look at whether or not Moore is likely going to be able to play. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, the Big Ten Conference will release the statuses of several players, with teams classifying them as out, doubtful, or questionable.
A final availability report will then be released two hours prior to kickoff on Saturday. Here is a look at the first availability report for the Ducks and Illini.
