The Oregon Ducks are going on the road for the first time this year, traveling down to Stillwater, Oklahoma for the first time in program history. It will be an early kick at 9 a.m. PT, and temperatures will be skyrocketing, with heat expected to be in the upper-90s before the game is over.
While we've spent the last couple of days wrapping up our thoughts on the Boise State game, and preparing for what we might see against the Cowboys on Saturday morning, the Ducks gave us a preview of what we're going to see from them on Wednesday night.
Oregon officially released their Week 2 jerseys for the game vs. Oklahoma State. They will be rocking a green and white look, with green helmets, white jerseys, and green pants.
The look is similar to what Oregon
wore last year against the Iowa Hawkeyes, though it will be an Oregon "O" on the helmet rather than the white wings that we saw a year ago. This is also the first time that Oregon has ever worn a green helmet with a white facemask.
While the uniform combo for this first game against Oklahoma State is relatively tame compared to Oregon's standards, there is an early expectation that a couple of games will get some special jersey treatment in Eugene. Earlier this year, at Big Ten Media Days, tight end Jamari Johnson dropped a hint that the uniforms in Week 4 against the USC Trojans, and the final week of the year against the Washington Huskies,are going to be special.
While we wait to see what those are, here's a closer look at what Oregon will be wearing this week against Oklahoma State:
