The Oregon Ducks are breaking out something special for this massive game against the UCLA Bruins in Week 6.
On Tuesday, Oregon finally unveiled their "Origin of Speed" uniforms, which celebrate the history of innovation and track speed in Eugene.
Highlighting voices like LaMichael James, DeAnthony Thomas, and Devon Allen, all football players who were also celebrated on the track, the Ducks dive into the lore of Steve Prefontaine and the importance of Hayward Field in Tracktown, USA.
They also used wide receiver Dakorien Moore as the model for the uniform, which is fitting after he competed in the long jump for Oregon's track team last season.
The uniforms are all black, but with green and yellow wings on the shoulders and helmets that look like
streaking lightning bolts, almost blurred from speed.

Over the weekend, following Oregon's 41-27 win over the USC Trojans, the Ducks released a teaser on social media, showing various quick images of the uniforms, hinting that something more was to come on Tuesday. Now, we have the full picture.
These one-off uniforms fall in line with many we've seen before, like the "Shoe Duck" uniforms honoring Uncle Phil Knight a year ago against the Oregon State Beavers, the "Grateful Ducks" uniforms honoring the Grateful Dead last year against the Wisconsin Badgers, or the "Heroes" highlighting the fight against cancer a year before that.
Oregon's game against UCLA will be a huge one next Saturday as the Ducks try to keep momentum rolling following their big win over the Trojans. It's unknown whether or not QB Dante Moore will play after suffering a concussion against USC, but it feels unlikely at this point, so Dylan Raiola is expected to be under center.
