The Oregon Ducks have rebuilt the baseball roster this offseason with savvy additions through the transfer portal, and now the schedule is starting to take shape.
In the second week of the regular season, the Ducks will face a big test in Texas as they participate in the 2027 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series in Arlington, Texas. The Ducks will play three games at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, and will put their new lineup to the test right away against Power 4 competition, including two teams that cracked the NCAA Tournament field last season.
Oregon will begin the series against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Feb. 26, before taking on the Oklahoma State Cowboys the following day and wrapping things up against the Baylor Bears. Arkansas and Oklahoma State both
fell short in the regional round last season. The Ducks will avoid the Iowa Hawkeyes and Oregon State Beavers, both of which are also in the same field.

The offseason brought plenty of change for the Ducks, as coaches left town and several star players departed through the transfer portal or the MLB draft. However, Mark Wasikowski went to work to try to retool the roster, and Oregon could compete in the Big Ten again this season if everything breaks right.
USC infielder Adrian Lopez and Grand Canyon pitcher Chase Frey were two of Oregon's biggest wins out of the transfer portal. Brayden Jaksa and Jax Gimenez are two key returning figures in Oregon's lineup, while Will Sanford and Tanner Bradley return as strong pitching options in the rotation and bullpen, respectively.
Oregon has had success in recent history in early-season tournaments, including at Globe Life Field. The Ducks last made the trip to Arlington in 2024 for the Shriners Children's College Showdown, where they went 2-1 with wins over Oklahoma State and Baylor. Last season, the Ducks flew south to Nevada for the Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Baseball Classic, where they also finished 2-1 with victories over Arizona and Vanderbilt.
There are plenty of moving pieces this season for Oregon in the dugout, but the Ducks will get a chance to quickly set the tone for the season if they can take down foes from the Big 12 or SEC, the latter of which snatched away stars from the Ducks in the portal.
