There is plenty of intrigue surrounding the Oregon Ducks coming off their bye week to face the ranked UCLA Bruins this weekend, but there is more Big Ten football coming to Eugene the following weekend.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers will make the trip to Autzen Stadium on Oct. 17 to face the Ducks for the first time as Big Ten foes, but fans will need to wait to find out what time the kickoff will be scheduled for, as well as which network will pick up the game. The Big Ten announced game times and TV channels for Week 7 games, but Oregon's game against Nebraska, as well as Wisconsin's trip to UCLA, was put on a six-day hold.
The Ducks and Cornhuskers will find out when the game will begin this Sunday after the TV networks sort out which network will air
which games. Either way, the game is likely to land under the national spotlight. The 12:30 p.m. PT slot on CBS is available, as well as the 4:30 p.m. PT prime-time slot on NBC.
Depending on the health of Dante Moore heading into the week, there will be plenty of interest in the game and animosity on the field if Dylan Raiola starts the game for the Ducks against his former team. Raiola's comments in the offseason about the difference between the programs and the talent discrepancy didn't sit well with many Nebraska fans.
Oregon and Nebraska haven't faced each other since playing a home-and-home series in 2016 and 2017, the latter of which took place in Eugene. Led by Justin Herbert, the Ducks won the game, 42-35, despite being shut out in the second half. It should also be noted that Nebraska fans traveled very well for the game, and it's fair to expect Cornhuskers fans to travel in bunches to Eugene again.
We will have to wait another week to find out where the game will be broadcast and when it will kick off.
