Despite hitting an unexpected bump in the road, it's hard to keep the Oregon Ducks out of the spotlight. When the Ducks travel south to Los Angeles next week to open Big Ten play against the No. 12 USC Trojans, the eyes of the nation will be watching.
The Ducks will play their first conference game of the season against USC on Sept. 26, and the game is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. PT on NBC as part of the network's Big Ten Saturday Night schedule. It will be the second prime-time showing for the Ducks this season, following the season opener against Boise State.
Oregon is reeling from a 39-31 loss at the hands of Oklahoma State and will get just one week to regroup before shifting its focus to a road matchup against the Trojans. The Ducks have struggled,
both offensively and defensively, while the Trojans have looked steady in their three games so far this season.

USC and Oregon have a lot on the line, as the matchup will go a long way toward shaping the College Football Playoff picture and the many recruiting battles between the two programs. Oregon handled USC at home last season, winning 42-27, and the Trojans have not beaten the Ducks since 2016, in a game that was played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The Trojans have cruised to victories over San Jose State, Fresno State and Louisiana, and will take on lowly Rutgers on the road in Week 3. As of now, the Ducks project as slight favorites over USC, and it would be a huge win for Oregon to win over some recruits and get their season back on track after an ugly loss.
