Week 1 was anything but easy for the Oregon Ducks. Despite entering as heavy favorites, the Ducks largely played from behind against Boise State, rallying in the second half to escape Autzen Stadium with a 34-27 victory to begin the season.
The Ducks were sloppy and shot themselves in the foot on numerous occasions, but still turned in a big day offensively and held the Boise State offense down in the second half. Oregon didn't cover the 24.5-point spread, but a win is all that matters to Dan Lanning.
Turning the page to Week 2, Oregon will hit the road for the first time with a trip to Oklahoma State on deck. The Ducks boat raced the Cowboys last season in Eugene, using some bulletin board material from Mike Gundy to deliver a 69-3 beatdown.
However, much has changed in the last year.
Eric Morris left North Texas to become the new head coach at Oklahoma State and flipped the roster. The Cowboys have 91 new players on the 2026 roster, so there are still some kinks being worked out early in the season, as shown by the team's 24-10 loss at Tulsa to begin the season.
FanDuel Sportsbook has opened the betting lines with Oregon as a 21.5-point favorite. The Ducks have -2100 odds on the money line, which are favorable, but considerably less than last week. Oklahoma State can be bought at +1060 odds. Once again, the oddsmakers are expecting the Ducks to put up points, setting the over/under at 57.5 points. Considering the Cowboys only scored 10 points last week against Tulsa, many of those points are expected to come from Oregon's offense.
Week 2 will serve as Oklahoma State's home opener, so the Ducks should be welcomed by a rowdy crowd supporting their new coach and roster, led by quarterback Drew Mestemaker and running back Caleb Hawkins. Oregon's defense will be looking to improve its run defense against an impressive tailback and earn a big win on the road against a Power 4 opponent.
Oregon and Oklahoma State are set for an early kickoff in Stillwater. The game is set to begin at 9 a.m. PT and will air on ESPN. We'll keep an eye on the betting lines this week in the event it moves as more news comes out during the week.
