Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently addressed Golden State's offseason moves during a podcast appearance, expressing excitement for the depth added by the front office.
"We did the best we could to put together the roster. I think Yaxel (Lendeborg) is going to help quite a bit. He's a really good player. He's older. He's mature. Watching him workout with our guys, he's going to help us. Gui Santos, Brandin Podziemski, these guys are going to help us. Georges Niang, Brandon Williams, new signees—nothing earth-shattering, but really good players who can play a lot of minutes. So, I think our depth is the answer."
Kerr goes on to explain that these pieces will be pivotal in carrying the load until the return of Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody,
who are expected to re-enter Golden State's rotation in the second-half of the season. Having had their season derailed by injuries a year ago, the Warriors are eager to improve on a 10th-place finish in the Western Conference.
Ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, ESPN predicted that Golden State will move up in the standings, but not by much.
