Ahead of the 2026-27 season, many different sports media outlets are ranking the top-100 players in the NBA. HoopsHype did so earlier this week, and their list differed greatly from that of ESPN. Similar to the list made by ESPN, there were three Golden State Warriors who earned top-100 recognition, but HoopsHype didn't choose the same three players that ESPN did.
100. Jimmy Butler III
Despite entering the season sidelined with an ACL injury, Jimmy Butler III has proven himself as a vital piece to Golden State's offense. Last season, the Marquette alum averaged 20 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.1 minutes per contest. ESPN ranked him in the No. 92 spot.
71. Kristaps Porzingis
Although he appeared in just 32 contests a season ago, Kristaps Porzingis came in at No. 71
after being unranked on ESPN's top-100 list. A full season of Porzingis under head coach Steve Kerr and new assistant coach Frank Vogel is certainly a force to be reckoned with on paper; however, the Latvian center has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career. Porzingis has played over 60 games in only three of his 10 NBA seasons. Last year, he averaged 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.2 blocks.
17. Stephen Curry
Former two-time league MVP Stephen Curry came in at No. 17 on HoopsHype's list, as opposed to his No. 12 ranking with ESPN. When healthy a season ago, Curry remained a dominant force on offense, averaging 26.6 points, 4.7 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks. If the former Davidson guard is to play 65 or more games this year in contrast to 43 last season, he could prove himself worthy of a much higher ranking.
Former Defensive Player of the Year Award winner Draymond Green was not listed, despite coming in at the No. 93 spot according to ESPN. A season ago, the four-time All-Star averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks in 27.5 minutes per game.
