During media day, former two-time MVP Stephen Curry took questions, addressing the biggest headlines entering the 2026-27 season. Having inked a contract extension with the franchise, reporters were no longer speculating about Curry's future.
Instead, they asked Curry about his knee, as lingering knee issues caused the Davidson product to miss 39 games last season. Curry's response was encouraging, indicating that he feels healthy ahead of the 2026-27 season. "Knee's feeling great. Ready to go. No issues."
While the 12-time All-Star did acknowledge that he'll have to manage his knee throughout the year, he has a better grasp of the injury, saying, "I feel a lot stronger and understanding of what I'm dealing with."
After averaging 26.6 points, 3.6
rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 39.3% from beyond the arc a season ago, Golden State will need another All-Star caliber year from their star to stay afloat in a loaded Western Conference.
