Former Golden State Warriors legend Klay Thompson showed out for his new team Wednesday night, scoring 30-plus points for the first time in a Miami Heat jersey. Thompson finished his night after 35 minutes, tallying 30 points on the dot on 11-for-22 shooting from the field to go along with five rebounds, three assists and one block, as the Heat earned a one-point victory over the Los Angeles Clippers
in overtime.Following the matchup, Thompson spoke to the media about his performance and about Miami's next matchup against the Warriors, saying, "Hopefully I can continue the same flow because I made a lot of buckets in that building. And it’s fun to beat up on old friends."
Riding a five-game winning streak, the Warriors will be hopeful to take
down Thompson and the Heat, who'll be playing on the second night of a back-to-back. In six games since his departure, Thompson is 3-3 against former running mate Stephen Curry.
