The Golden State Warriors battled on the road Saturday against the Phoenix Suns, despite missing three starters: Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Brandin Podziemski. Not to mention three main contributors who've yet to suit up for the Warriors this season: Kristaps Porzingis, Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody.
Led by rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, who scored a career-best 26 points on 6-for-11 shooting from beyond the arc, Golden State stayed within striking distance of the Suns throughout, ultimately falling 131-122. D'Anthony Melton provided a scoring punch off the bench, adding 25 points, while his former high school teammate Brandon Williams dropped 20 in place of the aforementioned Curry. Graham Ike, a rookie currently on a two-way contract, performed
well as a starter, posting a double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and one block.
