Prior to training camp, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is traveling abroad, having recently spent time in Hong Kong. While there, Curry spent time at a local school and advised students on how to deal with the pressures of being a professional athlete.
“I still get nervous because if you don’t, that means it doesn’t matter to you,” said Curry. “But I rely on all the times that I’ve shot the shots that I know that I’m about to go do on the court, and then I’m OK if I miss it; I’m not going to be happy."
“I know that failure is a part of it. You have to be able to accept what happens out there on the court. But I don’t shy away from those moments because I work really hard for them."
The greatest shooter in NBA history, Curry has made more
3-point shots in league history than anyone else. Additionally, his free-throw percentage of 91.4% sits atop all-time ranks. His 3-point percentage of 42.1% ranks him No. 14 in NBA history, which is an incredible mark considering the volume in which he shoots at (9.4 3-point attempts per game). Curry's head coach, Steve Kerr, is the all-time leader in 3-point percentage, shooting 45.4% over 15 NBA seasons.
