On Monday, November 2, Draymond Green was ejected from the Golden State Warriors' 116-113 win over the Phoenix Suns. The veteran forward received two technical fouls early in the third quarter.
Green received his first technical due to a tussle with Kahman Muluach. Green had been jostling for a rebound before Muluach knocked him to the floor, prompting Green to jump back up, grab Muluach, and throw him onto the hardwood.
Green's second technical came just moments later. Dillon Brooks confronted Green over his actions toward Muluach, leading to a grabbing and shoving match that others had to break up; a double technical was awarded, one for each player. With two technicals, Green was ejected from the game.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, speaking
on 'The Pat McAfee Show,' the NBA isn't expected to punish Green further.
“As far as Draymond Green is concerned, I can report I do not expect him to have any more discipline on that,” Charania reported. “I do not expect the NBA to discipline Draymond Green any further for this play.”
Golden State will undoubtedly be pleased that Green won't face any further punishment. He's played a key role for his team at the start of the season, and they will need him in the rotation if they want to build on their 5-3 start.
