Similar to how he performed in the Summer League, rookie Yaxel Lendeborg wasted no time making an impression in his preseason debut on Sunday evening in Hawaii. The 2026 No. 11 overall pick was the first player on the board on Sunday in the Golden State Warriors' preseason opener against the Los Angeles Clippers.
With just seconds running off the clock from the opening tip, Steph Curry kicked the ball out to the rookie in the corner and Lendeborg buried the open 3-pointer for his first points of the preseason.

Despite his early bucket, Lendeborg struggled to score on Sunday, recording just four points on 1-of-6 shooting from the field. However, Lendeborg led the Warriors
in rebounding for the game with nine.
Lendeborg knocking down triples shouldn't come as a surprise after the rookie showed off his shooting from long range in the Summer League. Over six games, Lendeborg drilled 10 3-pointers on 28 attempts from beyond the arc. Through the first two games in the Summer League, Lendeborg drilled six 3-pointers, including one game with four triples.
At Michigan last season, Lendeborg shot 37.2% on 4.5 attempts from long distance per game. Against Michigan State, Lendeborg drilled five 3-pointers on six attempts.
Lendeborg will have another chance to show off his scoring on Tuesday when the Warriors return to the Bay Area for a preseason game against Luka Doncic and the Lakers.
