Former Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes made a big offseason investment this summer, buying a bank in his home state of Iowa. To do so, Barnes put in $25 million of his own money. Barnes has experience as a bank director and has finished one year of schooling at the Iowa School of Banking, according to San Antonio Spurs reporter Dusty Garza.
The former UNC forward has had a solid NBA career, playing 14 seasons to this point, four of which were with Golden State, where he won an NBA title. In over 1,000 career games, Barnes has career averages of 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks while shooting 38.5% from 3-point range. According to Spotrac, Barnes has made over $224 million throughout his career, as his biggest
contracts came with the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks.
