Amid recovery from an ACL injury he suffered in January, Jimmy Butler III reflected on his career during a sit-down interview with NBC Sports. Butler III, who has embraced a supporting role beside Stephen Curry since joining the Warriors, has vocalized his commitment and gratitude to be a member of the franchise.
"I'm super blessed to be able to play for some amazing organizations with some Hall of Fame players, and I can say I am probably with the greatest player (Stephen Curry) that I have ever played with right now in this team for the greatest organization, so 16 years in and to end up over here with the Warriors, couldn't ask for a better story."
Butler III, who is preparing for his third season with Golden State after a midseason (2024-25)
trade from the Miami Heat, posted solid numbers last season, averaging 20 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 51.9% from the field and 37.6% from beyond the arc. A former NBA Finals runner-up with the Miami Heat, the former Marquette forward is still in search of his first NBA title.
