During the Golden State Warriors' recent wins streak, a trend appears to be brewing. During their five-game winning streak, the Warriors have trailed by double-figures in three of the games, including deficits of 25 points and 17 points. On Thursday night against the Miami Heat, the Warriors again found themselves in a hole.
Just over three minutes into the game, the Warriors fell down by 10 points to the Heat, trailing 14-4. However, the Warriors seem to thrive in these comeback situations. Before the halftime whistle, the Warriors erased the Heat's advantage and tied the game at 53-53 at the break.
In the third quarter, the Warriors took over. In the third frame, the Warriors outscored the Heat, 38-23, stretching their lead to 15 points before
the start of the fourth quarter. In the third quarter, Steph Curry caught fire, scoring 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field with three made triples.
Curry finished with a game-high 29 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the floor with six made 3-pointers to go along with four assists and a board in 28 minutes.
While starters Yaxel Lendeborg and Will Richard each tallied double-figure scoring numbers, Georges Niang and Brandon Williams notched double-figures in scoring off the bench. Golden State's bench unit outscored Miami's 53-27.
In his first appearance at Chase Center as a member of the Heat, Klay Thompson tallied 11 points on 3-of-10 shooting from the field with two made 3-pointers in 23 minutes.
Despite trailing early yet again, the Warriors rattled off their sixth straight win, 120-100 over the Miami Heat. The Warriors are now tied with the San Antonio Spurs for the longest winning streak in the NBA.
The Warriors will get Friday off before hosting the Orlando Magic on Saturday. The Warriors will host the Magic and New Orleans Pelicans on Monday before beginning a five-game road swing starting on Wednesday Nov. 11.
