HoopsHype and Hoopmatic are putting together research with the aim of declaring who is the greatest basketball player of all-time. Within their research, Hoopmatic is tracking which player has the most public "GOAT" votes from other players who have played in the NBA. Not only that, but Hoopmatic has also compiled the original quotes from when players declared their opinions.
According to their research, 11 different players have received at least one vote, including two Warriors players. Stephen Curry is, of course, one of those players, having received two such votes, one from Shaquille O'Neal and another from Victor Oladipo, giving him 1.8% of the overall vote.
Kevin Durant is the other Warriors player to have received votes. Durant was voted
for twice as well, tying him with Curry. Durant's former teammate Jalen Bridges was responsible for one, while current Lakers forward Dalton Knecht provided the other.
As you may have guessed, LeBron James and Michael Jordan are the most popular answers among current and former NBA players, each having received 45 or more votes.
