Before he's on the court for the start of the 2026-27 regular season, you'll have the chance to watch Steph Curry on the big screen. The Golden State Warriors' point guard will be the focus of an upcoming documentary film, "Portrait of an Artist: Stephen Curry." Before the film releases in theaters on Oct. 8 in IMAX, a trailer was unveiled for the upcoming project.

The documentary follows Curry on his journey to hitting 4,000 3-pointers. Curry became the first player to make 4000 3-pointers in March
2025, playing against the Sacramento Kings. He needed two more 3-pointers, starting the game. In the third quarter, Curry set a new NBA landmark, drilling his 4,000th 3-pointer. In 2021, Curry became the all-time leader in made 3-pointers, passing Ray Allen's record of 2,974 made triples.
In 2023, Curry had another documentary released about his run at Davidson in the NCAA Tournament through his championship season with the Warriors in 2022. The documentary, produced by A24 and Unanimous Media (Curry's multimedia company), debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah in 2023. It's currently available to watch on Apple TV+.
