Jimmy Butler III appears to be progressing well amid his rehab for an ACL tear he suffered last January. Prior to the injury, Butler III was enjoying an efficient campaign, averaging 20 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.2 blocks while shooting 37.6% from beyond the arc.
As training camp nears, Warriors insider Anthony Slater recently provided an update on Butler III's recovery, saying, "I've heard good updates on his progress and the strengthening of his knee, but he's still months away from being on an NBA court. The team is going to open camp in Hawaii in a couple weeks. He's expected to just be able to do individual stuff on the side."
Ahead of training camp, reports suggest that the former Marquette forward will host a players-only
event for his teammates. Butler III, a 15-year NBA veteran entering his third season with Golden State, will play a vital role in support of Stephen Curry when healthy.
