As of right now, the Golden State Warriors control their 2027 NBA draft selection for the first round. However, a lot could happen between now and the summer of 2027. While things could change before next June's 2027 NBA draft, it's never too early to get to know some of the names that could headline the upcoming draft class. Bleacher Report's NBA draft insider Jonathan Wasserman released his "way too early" mock draft for 2027with the Warriors selecting No. 11 overall.
After Kansas Jayhawks' top freshman prospect Tyran Stokes to the Sacramento Kings opened the draft, Wasserman listed Alabama sharpshooter Amari Allen to the Warriors at No. 11 overall. According to Wasserman, Allen has already garnered NBA interest due to his "positional size,
three point shooting and 3.6 assists per game."

As a freshman under Nate Oats at Alabama, Allen averaged 11.4 points on 44.6% shooting from the field and 34.1% shooting from beyond the arc to go along with 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 32 games. Against Mississippi State, Allen buried a career-high six 3-pointers on his way to 23 points. Against Vanderbilt, Allen notched a season-high 25 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field with 11 boards for a double-double. The 6-foot-7 wing recorded five double-doubles in his first season at Alabama.

Alongside Aden Holloway and Jaxson Richardson, Allen will help lead the Crimson Tide in a tough SEC for 2026-27.
