Amid the NBA offseason, Bleacher Report recently ranked the top-99 North American sports teams in history. The Golden State Warriors only had one entry on the list, but they ranked near the top.
Ranked No. 2 of all 99 teams listed were the 2016-17 Warriors, who went 67-15 during the regular season and 16-1 in the postseason. This team featured three 22+ point per game scorers, Klay Thompson and two MVP candidates, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. It also featured the league's Defensive Player of the Year Award winner, Draymond Green, not to mention established veterans like Andre Iguodala, JaVale McGee and David West.
Golden State fans will be shocked to know that despite breaking the record for most wins in a season, the infamous 73-9 team (2015-16)
did not make the list. The team they surpassed, the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls (72-10), was listed as the best sports team in North American history, led by six-time NBA Finals MVP Michael Jordan.
