The Golden State Warriors have been hard at work during training camp, preparing for their preseason opener Sunday, Oct. 4, in Hawaii against the Los Angeles Clippers. Prior to the matchup, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr may have teased Golden State's opening night starting lineup.
During an open scrimmage, the Warriors played their first team against their second unit, showing reporters and media members a potential starting five. This group included two-time MVP Stephen Curry, former Defensive Player of the Year Award winner Draymond Green, fourth-year guard Brandin Podziemski, recent No. 11 overall pick Yaxel Lendeborg and five-time All-Star Al Horford.
Following the scrimmage, Kerr indicated that this lineup of five would start Golden State's
first preseason matchup against Los Angeles. However, Kerr has plenty of time to make changes, as the Warriors have one of the league's more demanding preseason schedules, with five more games following their contest against the Clippers.
