On Monday, the Golden State Warriors announced they would be returning to Hawaii for training camp before the start of the 2026-27 regular season. The Warriors have had a tradition of heading to Hawaii for training camp dating all the way back to 1974. In 2024, the Warriors returned to Hawaii for training camp for the first time in 17 years. Now, the Warriors will return to Hawaii again for training camp starting on Sep. 29.
Along with training camp, the Warriors will also play a preseason game in Hawaii for the 15th time. The Warriors won't be alone in Hawaii at the BYU-Hawaii campus. The Los Angeles Clippers will also be in Hawaii for their own training camp. The two teams will meet for a preseason contest on Oct. 4 in Honolulu.

In 2024, the Warriors also played the Clippers, beating Los Angeles 91-90 in Hawaii.
Golden State's contest against the Clippers will mark the start of their preseason on Oct. 4. The Warriors will play five more preseason games, with contests coming against the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings. The Warriors will return to the Bay Area on Oct. 6 to play the Lakers at Chase Center in the preseason.
