Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green recently had a special guest on his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show". Green was joined by a first-time All-Star last season, Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija. Throughout the episode, the two exchanged perspectives, insights and stories. In fact, Avdija shared a comical story about an on-court interaction between him and Draymond, which was corroborated by Green. "I hit you pretty hard with something, and you came up to me. You were like, 'Next time you go to the rim, watch what happens.' Every time I drove, I was waiting for that elbow or punch or something, and then at the end of the game, I came up to you, and I was like, 'Hey Dray, like, man, I was waiting for you the whole game!'While
Green didn't get his "payback," the former Michigan State product warned Avdija that he hasn't forgotten and that sometimes it takes "a couple years."Both Avdija and Green are scheduled to meet Friday, Oct. 16, Golden State's final preseason matchup. The two teams will meet for the first time during the regular season in an NBA Cup Group Play game, Nov. 27.
