Since being ruled out indefinitely at the start of training camp with a health issue, there has been little updates regarding Kristaps Porzingis' status. The veteran center has missed all four of Golden State's preseason games and all of training camp. Porzingis has been away from the team as he's dealt with his health issue, with Steve Kerr and his teammates appearing to remain largley in the dark on his status.
However, on Monday, Kerr provided a positive update on the veteran big man.
For the first time since being ruled out indefinitely, Porzingis is expected to return to Golden State's facility in the Bay Area on Tuesday while the Warriors meet the Los Angeles Lakers for a preseason contest in Las Vegas. According to Kerr, Porzingis will
meet with Golden State director of sports medicine and performance, Rick Celebrini.

Kerr says that Porzingis will be back in the Warriors facility tomorrow. He will meet with Rick Celebrini and they will figure out what his next steps will be. It remains unclear when he will be able to return to the floor again.

Over the summer, Porzingis signed a contract extension to remain with the Warriors for two-years, $40 million. The Warriors traded for Porzingis at the deadline last season in a deal with the Atlanta Hawks that included Jonathan Kuminga. In 15 games with the Warriors, Porzingis averaged 16.1 points on 43.3% shooting from the floor and 31.1% from long distance. Porzingis also notched 5.3 boards, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks in 23.7 minutes per game.
Without Porzingis, Golden State has had a thin frontcourt rotation in the preseason, featuring Draymond Green, Al Horford, Charles Bassey, Gui Santos, Georges Niang and rookie Yaxel Lendeborg. Before the Warriors' regular season opens on Oct. 21 in Los Angeles against Luka Doncic and the Lakers, Golden State has two preseason games left on the schedule, against the Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers.
