What is the story about?

The Golden State Warriors had a disappointing 2025-26 season, in large part due to injuries. Throughout the year, no player's absence weighed more on the team than former two-time MVP award winner Stephen Curry, who missed 39 of 82 regular season games due to a persistent knee injury.

Ahead of the 2026-27 season, Curry's knee may be monitored to ensure his health over the duration of a full season. "There's at least some lingering concern about the knee. From what I've been told, it can be managed, but it has to be managed," said Warriors insider Monte Poole.

"I'm curious to see how it turns out, but Steph seemed pretty confident that he'll be able to go out there and put out 70+ games." If Curry is able to appear in 70 games or more, this would

be a positive sign for Golden State, as they'll need him to be healthy, especially considering the team will be without Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody to begin the season.
