The Golden State Warriors were shorthanded to say the least during Wednesday night's road matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. Following training camp in Hawaii and two preseason games, Golden State decided to rest nine of their players, giving them just nine active players after taking into account the injuries of Jimmy Butler III, Moses Moody and Kristaps Porzingis.
Despite showing up outnumbered, the Warriors showcased plenty of fight, eventually falling to the Trail Blazers 123-118. Of all players, it was two of the Warriors' Exhibit 10 signees that led the team in scoring. Miles Kelly finished with a game-high points off the bench, adding seven rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block. Dalen Terry finished with 23 points, eight
rebounds, nine assists and four steals. A former shooting guard with the Bulls and 76ers, Terry nearly tied a preseason record.
Terry played 43 minutes of 48 total, an outrageous amount for a preseason game. In doing so, he neared a record set by his current teammate, Jimmy Butler III. Back in the 2012 preseason with the Bulls, Butler III played all 48 minutes for Chicago under head coach Tom Thibodeau. Butler finished the contest with nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal.
