The Golden State Warriors' two-time Most Valuable Player isn't going anywhere. With the start of the new year looming, Stephen Curry had one more season remaining on his contract with the Warriors. In late August, Curry became eligible for a two-year extension with the Warriors. Throughout the offseason, there's been question marks around Curry's future with the Warriors. However, the 12-time All-Star never wavered when questioned if he'd entertain free agency. Curry consistently stated he intended to remain with the Warriors, saying he wants to be a "lifer" with Golden State.
On Friday night, he put pen to paper. Shams Charania of ESPN first reported Curry has agreed to a two-year, $116 million contract extension with the Warriors. His extension includes
a player option for the 2028-29 season, per Sharania. The Warriors later confirmed the extension, announcing it on social media.
