Brandin Podziemski is here to stay in the Bay Area.
On Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPNreported the Golden State Warriors have agreeded to a five-year, $110 million contract extension with the fourth-year combo guard. Podziemski was entering the final year of his rookie contract at the start of the 2026-27 season. Podziemski became eligible for a rookie-scale contract extension over the summer. The Warriors had before the start of the regular season to negotiate with Podziemski.

Podziemski was drafted in the first round, No. 19 overall in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Santa Clara. In his first season in Golden State, Podziemski earned All-Rookie team honors in 2023-24. Since joining the Warriors, Podziemski has played 220 regular-season games, starting 104, averaging 11.6 points on 45.2% shooting from the field to go along with 4.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 27.4 minutes per game.
Last season, Podziemski played a career best 82 games, averaging 13.8 points on 45.5% shooting from the field and 37.1% shooting from the field with 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. Podziemski is expected to be a key contributor again alongside Stephen Curry in Golden State's backcourt for the 2026-27 season.
