To open the WNBA postseason, "Ballhalla" was packed with a frenzied crowd for the Golden State Valkyries Game 1 against the Dallas Wings on Sunday evening. Chase Center was littered with familiar faces from around the Bay Area, including one loyal fan from the Golden State Warriors, Brandin Podziemski. The Golden State guard has been a consistent supporter of the Valkyries since their arrival to the Bay Area last season. On Sunday, Podziemski was in the crowd at Chase Center again.

With Podziemski in the building, the Valkyries put on a show, scoring 104 points on the way to a blowout win and 1-0 lead over the Wings in round one of
the WNBA playoffs. Italian forward Cecilia Zandalasini lead the Valkyries with 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting with four made 3-pointers. Veteran guard Tiffany Hayes added 21 points off the bench in Golden State's dominant 104-80 win on Sunday. All-Star forward Gabby Williams notched 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting with four assists, three boards and a steal in 27 minutes on Sunday against the Wings.
Game 2 between the Wings and Valkyries is set for Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT.
