The Brooklyn Nets have signed, drafted, and traded for players from virtually every state in the US, and much of the wider world beyond the United States. From Alabama to Wyoming, and from Australia to Ukraine, the Nets have a long and distinguished history of turning over every stone to find the talent needed to succeed in the NBA.
From their start in the American Basketball Association (ABA) as the New Jersey Americans and New York Nets to their jump to the NBA as the New Jersey Nets right through to today, the organization has cast their net for talent wide since the inception of the ball club.
For this installment of our series documenting the provenience of every Nets player to suit up for the franchise, let's take a look at every player from
California who has played for Brooklyn.

Our focus in this article is Elden Campbell. An alum of Clemson, he was picked up with the 27th overall selection of the 1990 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Inglewood, California native played the first 9 seasons of his pro career with Los Angeles. He also played for the Charlotte Hornets, (then) New Orleans Hornets (now, Pelicans), Seattle SuperSonics, and the Detroit Pistons before he was claimed on waivers by the (then) New Jersey (now, Brooklyn) Nets in 2005.
His stay with the team lasted until he signed with Detroit again later that spring. During his time suiting up for the Nets, Campbell put up 1.1 rebounds per game.
