Brooklyn Nets forward Josh Minott had some flashes with the Nets last season after coming to the team due to a midseason trade from the Boston Celtics. Minott proved to be another player that Brooklyn took a chance on that worked out in terms of his talent and fit on the roster, but now, it's fair to wonder what the Nets can expect from him throughout next season.

Minott didn't spend much time in a Nets uniform as he played just 16 games due to a combination of injuries and the team resting players towards the end of another lost season.

Minott played his best stretch of basketball during his time with the Nets last season as he averaged 10.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 49.1% from the field and 39.5% from behind the three-point line.
"Just continuing to learn: learn the team, learn my teammates, learn the offense. Just looking for ways to expand my game within what we're trying to do here," Minott said towards the end of the season when asked what he was looking forward to showing on the court. "I feel like since I've been here, they've [his teammates] learned my play-style, and I've been grateful that they have helped me to put that on display."
Minott re-signed with the Nets this offseason on a two-year, $9 million contract, meaning that he and the team are expecting to see more of what he did last season in limited games. With Brooklyn trading for Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle this summer, Minott will likely come off the bench, but he seems like he's ready to do whatever head coach Jordi Fernandez and the coaching staff ask of him next season.
