USC women’s basketball is putting together an elite team for the 2026-2027 season. It appears as though the Trojans will have an elite schedule as well.
On Friday, USC announced that the Women of Troy will play in the inaugural Scripps Sports Women’s Basketball Showcase. The Trojans will face Miami at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix on December 16.
“We are excited to take part in the Scripps Sports Women's Basketball Showcase event, which brings a high-level doubleheader to Phoenix," USC head coach Lindsay Gottlieb said in a statement. “Facing Miami in an NBA/WNBA state-of-the-art arena allows us another opportunity to put our program on a tremendous platform. We hope that USC fans will join us in Phoenix on December 16!"
The matchup between
USC and Miami will tip off at 6:30 p.m. Pacific time/7:30 p.m. local time as the second game of a doubleheader. The first game, which will tip off at 4:00 p.m. Pacific time/5:00 p.m. local time, will feature the Trojans’ crosstown rival UCLA taking on Duke.
